When I went looking for a car, I drove the GTP a few times, it has decent power from the line. 240Hp from a Blown 3.8l v6 is a little on the weak side. Honestly, I get a bigger rush from punching the life out of 300E on the pedal than the Pontiac could ever wish for. Felt cheap too. Handled, eh, I can honestly say my car handles better, and I can slide it in a more controlled, safer and better manner too.
I had the loan amount to get some nice cars, I had a limit of about 11,000 for a used car for my second car. I drove alot of things in that range. Alot of american cars. I was leaning towards an Accord Coupe but they we a bit pricey still.
I now drive a 10yr old 300E, I love it, it drives great, it's fast, it hugs turns nicely. I am only a bit peeved at it right now because it is having trouble starting.
I needed a reliable, quick, run around car.
I don't think I could have made a better choice.
A 10yr old Benz is many times over better than a 2 or 3 year old american car.
And one other thing, Front wheel drive is a mistake. It's only good for the fun Reverse to Drive 180 snap in a parking lot.
