NEED HELP W/ SPEEDING TICKET - Benzworld.org

LAST NIGHT I WAS DRIVING MY S600 AND WAS STOPPED BY THE POLICE. THE OFFICER ASKED ME IF I HAD PERMISSION TO DRIVE MY DAD'S CAR. I TOLD HIM IT WAS MY CAR AND HE ASKED ME WHERE I LIVED. HE TOLD ME TO GO HOME OR HE WOULD FIND SOMTHING TO GIVE ME A TICKET FOR.
ON MY WAY HOME I RAN 2 YELLOW LIGHTS AND ABOUT 1/2 MILE DOWN THE ROAD WAS STOPPED BY 3 POLICE CARS. THEY GAVE ME A TICKET FOR RUNNING 2 RED LIGHTS! I AM 18 AND THIS IS MY FIRST TICKET. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A 2 POINT VIOLATION. THE OFFICER TOLD ME THAT NEXT TIME HE WOULD HAVE MY CAR TOWED. I LIVE IN MARIN COUNTY. -IT WAS THE SAN RAFAEL POLICE
-WHAT CAN I DO?
-HOW MUCH WILL A ATTOURNY COST?
-HOW MUCH WILL MY INSURANCE GO UP. (IT IS ALLREADY $5800 PER YEAR)

sounds like you need a good lawyer...

if you take it to court, its going to be a "you" vs. "them" and the judge is most likely going to believe "them". Something that can help, any witnesses, or passengers in the car? how long was yellow light? where was your car (distance) from the light. I would recomend that you take some pictures, time the lights, and then figure out if you were in fact running a "red" light or yellow. Then, if you have hard facts, and want to take it court, get a really good lawyer.

Thanks for the info. My brother was following in his car with a friend about 50 yards behind me. They saw the whole thing. Also, I have about 5 people who saw me get stopped twice before that night. two of them heard a officer say that he would find somthing to give me a ticket for If I did not go home.
I saw the officer at the same time he saw me and at the angle he was looking he could only see one of the intersections. How much do you think a layer will cost? -Thanks for the help!
