P2767 transmission: limp home, speed sensor ring K1 error.

The input and output turbine speed sensors are located on the electronics plate above the valve body and this may need changing, here is a link to the 210 diy for this job, 210 has the same transmission.

I would need your vin # to check which transmission is fitted to your car, it should be the 722.6 and if so the above diy is OK.

He got lucky, there are many things can cause this and that is why we rely on the fault codes to put us in the right area, your only reported code was the transmission sensor.

Eric i went to this shop by my house who works on this cars and this is what they told me. They said we ran the this 4 codes 206b,200a,2201,2200. I informed them of what was happening with the car they told me the Bad Valve control is bad maybe more. They also told me i have a 7 speed trans not a 5 speed. I have a 2004 s430 i always thought it was a 5 speed. But they told me this can only been done at the dealer and that they would get it ready than send it to the dealer which they quoted me $1500 to fix the problem. I brought the car home and will take it to MB dealer and just have them inspect it and hope its something small because this seams weird for what they said.
