Owned a couple MBs over the past 11 years. Single owner of Silver SL500 '00. Currently has 45K miles.
Was looking for how to replace center rear brake light. Need to get State inspection soon. I imagine I will get dinged for this during inspection.
It was a bear to get the upper trunk liner off for access to the center brake light. Looks complicated. Then I found this site. Looks like a good place to find / share answers....
Should I first try to cut the wire boot on the right to check for a break in the wire? Or, should I try to replace the bulb(s)? The bulb mounting looks complicated.
