As an owner of a ’06 SLR, I recently received an exclusive offer from Mercedes to “ORDER” a ’07 722. Reading the offer left me with the impression that the 722’s would be produced ONLY for retail orders, with the first ones going to existing SLR Mclaren owners.
I do not believe that dealers will be able to order this car on speculation! I could be wrong but that is my interruption of the material MB sent me.
I am also under the impression that the 722 will only be available in a exclusive gray color; at least that’s the only color pictured I material they sent.

The only way you are going to get “NEW” ’07 722 is to order it! I don’t think that MB is willing to make the same marketing mistake twice! Besides, even if MB dealers were able to order a ’07 722 on speculation, I suspect that you could count the number of dealers willing to do so on one hand!

according to MT magazine you just can't take a mortgage out on ur house and go purchase the new SLR it's only being offered to the current SLR owners. not available the general public
