In Sweden you have to put up a sign on the back of your car that says that you don’t have a license yet, put you practice for one, "Övningskör" = "learing to drive". If it is not a joke... image the world with everyone having this sign on the car, and not having a driving license.
They have something very similar in Japan. There's a green and yellow arrow that goes on all sides of the car. If you get in an accident with one of these "beginning driver" cars, it's automatically your fault. You should have given space to the new driver. I actually think it's a pretty good idea. So much, that when my wife was learning to drive a manual, placed a sign on the back of her car that read:
"learning to drive manual, please give me room".
People commented on the good idea and actually did stay back.
Its not a joke.. You have to have this sign at the back of the car before you get your actual license (and you have to have someone with you that actually have a license of course). It's a magnetic sign so it comes off and on easily.
