Would you really want to own a McLaren SLR?

I'm not sure I'd ever want to own one. The attention would make me too uncomfortable plus I could never just leave the car unattended anywhere for very long.

RE: Would you really want to own a McLaren SLR?

I would. I would just need to sell one of my testicles for it.[:D]

I would also have to hire a bodyguard that can clean off the fingerprints and noseprints from the windows all the time.[:D][8D]

Yea I would so drive one, but I do agree about worrying about it being in a parking lot.

the kind of 'parking lots' that you would inherently frequent once you had acquired the SLR would probably be lined with equally precious exotica. you would be an absolute fool to have an SLR as your only car, and your social life would be a slightly different realm, with no need to worry about how ostentatious the whole thing is...

Well let's see, hmmm if I could afford the initial price tag or the $50K cost for a brake job - I could afford to have an armed guard watch my car anywhere I parked! If IFS and BUTs were candy and nuts it would be Christmas all year long.

I definetely don't like the slr design, instead ot it I'd go for porsche carrera GT, or a regular carrera non cabriolet.
