SLR at Local Dealer
I saw an SLR at the local dealer Friday, I am going back today to pick up a key for my 190e, i have my camera, I am going to ask if I can take some photos, if I can I will post them,.
What a small world, I worked at that dealership from 11/03 until I transferred to Mercedes-Benz of Wilmington (Wilmington Motorcars) last month. I remember when it arrived in West Chester and the dealership literally shut down because everyone crowded into the service bays to see it! I thought I'd miss walking past that silver bullet everyday, but my worries were put to rest when I found out that we have a black SLR here in Wilmington.
I'll try and remember to take my camera and post some pics of the Wilmington SLR later this week.

What did you do there? I'm sure you know mike the sales manager. He sold me my ML which I bought the end of July and just got rid of it for the new E350 wagon 4matic.
I was a Parts Advisor there, and yes I knew Mike, he's a great guy. I'm still a P/A at Wilmington... If you ever decide to hike down to Wilmingon stop by and say hi!

RE: SLR at Local Dealer
There is one in austintown ohio.FRED MARTIN BENZ. The salesman told me it's the most expensive ca rto ever be for sale in this area. It is up for a mere $467,090 I drove my 1982 300 there and took a look. It looks like it"s moving standind still. If i can stop eating i"m buying one.........
We have an '06 at the dealer I work for, Mercedes-Benz of Ann Arbor (Michigan), in Crystal Galaxite Black. It's a nice color for the car, but frankly it's becoming a bit of an eyesore in the sense that it's burning a hole in our sales departement's pocket -- the gentleman who ordered it did so with a salesperson who was dismissed shortly thereafter, and as a result he reneged. Soo the car arrived in Decemeber, everyone did the "ooh" and "ahhh" thing for a while, but now it's something you have to constantly remind drooling onlookers not to touch, and worry about every waking minute you're at work ...
... then there's the tools and additionals MB requires the selling dealer to purchase.
In my opinion, even if we sell it tomorrow, we were better off without it. But hey, if any of you know somebody looking for a black SLR, give us a call
I must be spoiled because "every Benz dealership that I've been to" has had an SLR inside. Ok, so that's only two dealerships, and one was the factory's Mercedes-Benz Manhattan. Still, they are nice to see.
