That's very heavy, and reportedly, this car won't be as fast in the 0-60 as the SLR is.

That car won't be put into production. The exelero was just an intern project for their new engineers. You will never see that car out on the street.

It is indeed a prototype, and so far from what I have read there is absolutely no intention of making it into a production car. That's not to say it may not happen, however.

Still, comparing the car to the SLR is a bit like comparing apples and oranges; I look at the Exelero more in league with, say, a Bentley Continental GT than an SLR, despite the price. It's just too heavy.
