I ORDERED MY SLR WHEN IT WAS INTRODUCED AS A CONCEPT CAR BACK IN 1999. THE ONLY UPGRADE THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR THE CAR IS THE 300SL INTERIOR, WHICH I ORDERED($9900.00 UPGRADE).THE CAR WILL BE SILVER W/ RED INTERIOR. MB SET UP SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE SLR.THEY ALSO REQUIRED A $50,000.00 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WHEN THE FINAL ORDER WAS PLACED. FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION FOR THE US MARKET MAY ONLY BE 50 CARS. THEY WILL PRODUCE 100 US MARKET CARS PER YEAR FOR THE NEXT 6 YEARS AFTER THAT. I WAS WITH JAY LENO A FEW WEEKS AGO AT THE PETERSON MUSEUM 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. THEY AUCTIONED OFF AN SLR AS A FUND RAISER.ALTHOUGH THE PRICE OF THE CAR (EST) WILL BE $450,000.00, THE THREE THAT HAVE BEEN AUCTIONED SO FAR HAVE GONE FORM $1.4MM ~ $2 MILLION.
ANYONE WHO IS REALLY INTERESTED IN A CAR CAN E-MAIL ME. A 50% DEPOSIT IN AN ESCROW ACCOUNT WOULD BE REQUIRED.
Just a word of courtecy when it come to netiquette.
Using all capital letters is interpreted as 'shouting', and thus an unfriendly way to post a message on a public discussion board.
I think it's worth the extra few seconds it takes to make sure your caps lock button is unpressed when typing a message, just makes it so much more enjoyable to read a message.
(think about it, would it not be somewhat unpleasant to read a newspaper if every single alphabetical character was written as a capital letter, versus using a standard convention with capital and standard letters).

I am the buyer. Honestly,if you had an investment that would bring you a 200% ~ 300% return, you wouldn't take advantage of it? Unless you have more money than "God" you'd be a fool not too. I'm not trying to sell my "place in line". I am taking delivery of the vehicle. A response like yours is usually due to envy.
It is amazing the shit you are catching for trying to sell your car. Very rare and a very good deal if you ask me. I would love to buy your car but I have nowhere to put it....LOL. Also you get your point across more when you shout. So let the capitols go wild. Anyhow wish it was mine. Hope for a quick sale....
dont let anybody blow sunshine up your ass's, these cars can be bought for a rather small amount over monroney sticker price compared to a true supercar such as a carerra gt, enzo, or mclaren when they were new, there are a few dealers who actually have slots available for the current production run, mercedes has already brought 7 SLR's through the west coast port, yes one went for auction, but when you get egotistical people bidding your going to pay a premium, i can say that of the 7 that showed up at the VPC i was fortunate enough to ride in 2 of them and personally drive a third, appealing to the eye they are, but to put it in the supercar category is an exaggerated statement, the car provides a strong power delivery, engine sound with the unusual exhaust is close to a V12, handling, guys i am sorry to say, was a dissapointment, a pronounced feel of body roll compared to my set-up clk500, not unsettling but not what is expected from a car that boast these credentials, yes these cars are desireable to a buyer looking for a SLR, but just another car out there that offers big performance for big dollars in a market with cars that have bigger performance for less dollars, not to be dissrespectful but if you have been waiting since 1999 for your car, i would find another dealer or broker to do business with.
what is the price on this advertised vehicle?

"AN INVESTMENT THAT WILL BRING 200-300% RETURN"
what more needs to be said
SLR, right now 5 dealers in the L.A region have SLR's on the showroom floor, laguna niguel seems to be the most flexible, but word is the dealers in that area seem to have a conspiracy going to hold the prices in the 600-650k range, but some dealers that are not interested in seeing a second model are asking upwards of 900, the marketing director for the west coast who happens to be an individual i have worked with seems to think mercedes will look at these dealer with the attitude that these dealers are not representing mercedes very well buy holding these cars for ransom, so yes they may get one car to inflate, i remember him saying the MBNA marketing director used the analogy that mercedes looks at its clients like sheep, they would prefer to shear you now and then, they dont take kindly to dealer who skin their clients
sigh this post made me sick. that guy prolly doesnt have a slr on order nor is he selling it. he is looking for attention and maybe trying to scam someone out of some money in the process. He says only 5 or so made and yet in the mecedes open house tour you can see over 20 on the bench being built in the warehouse.
I get these ideas from the global wobble machine america owns so dont htink im crazy its all the goverments fault.
