Why would anyone want an SLR? They cost twice as much as a good Brabus S600, look like the R171 SLK, and only have a V8. Even the new 65 AMG engine outguns it...

I know, it does look good, but if I had the money I would buy the Ford's F1 supercar, where the engine is where it should be for a super car and it has history!

in discussions with the national sales training manager for Mercedes-Benz Canada, he had mentioned that the ENTIRE 7 year production of the SLR has been sold.

so for those of us who can afford it[:D], we will not be able to buy one from the factory.[:(]

They dont have to have mid-rear engines. look at the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, its got mid front, and its the fastest current production car at 402 km/h(until the 406 km/h Bugatti 16.4 Veyron comes out)

I saw the SLR parked in the street in front of a hotel yesterday in Beirut. It's totally worth it!!!

For anyone who seriously considers the SLR, I suspect that the price tag isn't one of the major considerations.
