Okay looking at the exhaust location two things come to my mind:
1). You are in stop and go traffic with the window down, are you going to breath in carbon monoxide?
2). The general noise level.

If you're lucky enough to have the car, you might not give a damn about it...
But yeah, that would seem to be the case, unless it is able to expulse the gasses far enough to have them dissipate before reaching your window. Just keep the windows up.

Reports say its a loud car. Some ppl like it loud =\

who wants to sit in traffic with the windows rolled down when you have a good a/c system? it is already stuffy enough having the warm air of the traffic and heat coming off all the vehicles.
second, with very hi-tech cats. CO won't be that big of an issue. plus, and i am assuming you are using this theory because it is a bad idea to have the rear window of a station wagon open due to CO poisoning. aerodynamics work in such a way that the rearend of the vehicle lets air get pulled back in. a wagon is not streamlined and "eddies" of sort get pushed around and in a circular motion. the exhaust fumes get pushed up and back towards the vehicle.
the SLR has pipes on the side. they are also pointed down. you're breathing fresh air(as fresh as allowed). the CO is about as high as the fumes from the car in front or beside you.
its a supercar, live with the noise. otherwise, get a maybach 57.
