I bought my 1989 190E-2.6 "Brunhilde" for a couple of reasons..........
is what I voted. I wanted a commuter car that was durable, reliable, very, very safe, and sturdy in a crash situation. I drive a lot for work, and totalled a BMW a few years ago. The wrecker, insurance company, repair shop, and many others commented about the sturdiness and reliability of German cars of this vintage - I would have been seriously injured in anything less.

- Brunhilde was only $2K with 167K on the odometer. I needed something inexpensive, that I could repair and maintain, and have a solid car for several years, serving commuting duty. Even though I've put a few thou$and in repairs, she's a very durable and well running car, at a good price.
Having owned her for about 5 months now, I admit I also enjoy the prestige of a european sedan. I'd rather drive Brunhilde than a 19-year old Toyota, Honda, etc. etc. I like having a "cool" 80's vintage car, and I really enjoy the features, ride quality, and the overall "aura" of the vehicle.
