Definitely the look...
I remember the first time I say it (her?). New class C, on a parking lot, grey tenorite, fabulous look. A real beauty queen, and it never deceived me...
Then it was the power, the control, the elegance...
I tell you guys, MB's have everything women should have and for the rest... well go see a woman ahaha...
I bought my 240D to commute to work in. Its a 1983 with only 93000 miles on it. I drive btwn 100 and 130 miles a day and he mpgs aren't bad but I feel the engine will last forever. I like the simple design, no turbo direct injection just like my tractor. Hopefully I will be as happy in a few years. And the looks don't hurt either!!
TO be totally honest I bought my C300 for the value. I was striken hard by the looks because it IS a beautiful automobile, but I also shopped around and compared various traits of its competitors; Acura, BMW, Cadillac, Audi, Volvo and Saab. Lexus and Infiniti are glorified Toyotas ans Nissans to me. I asked the question: "What can I get for $30K that is reliable, luxurious, nimble on its feet, SAFE!!, efficient and that isnt owned by everyone and there brother ""BMW""? Hands down for me it was the W204 C-Class. I drove EVERY other car and came down to 2 choices the C300 Sport with 6-SPD and the BMW 335i. I cannot rule out that even though I see about 10 everyday, it is an excellent vehicle. Very fast and frugal on the road and a looker as well but it is overpriced and palgued with some serious reliability issues if driven hard, so eventually it came off my list, not to mention the UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE experience I had at BMW of Columbia SC. I have owned many automobiles from small subcompact to midsixe to SUV to pickup trucks and I have to say no other car in the world for the mney drives like a Mercedes-Benz.... it has a majestic and assuring feel to it. After test driving the car I could not think of any reason not to buy the car. It was everything I was looking for and more. I truly believe I will not buy any other car brand again as long as MB keeps up with the good work they have done lately-- C Class, new E Class, GLK class and S Class in my opinion.

Looks, comfort. I'm not sure about reliability since this is my first MB (C230 sports 07 manual). After test driving the G35, 325ci, C280 and TL, the C230 was my favorite and cheaper as well.
