Economical, Safe, Classic design, Build quality, Best Seats I've found, Greate climate system in the wintertime.
That's my reasons for owning two Mercedes Benz cars!
I bought my first Mercedes, a W108 280 SE in 1990, and it was my first car ever. I liked the looks of that car, how it handled, it's comfortabel and it was much cheeper than buying the W126 model at that time. I only use it in the summer time and do some small restoration work on it during each season.
I bought my second Mercedes, a W124 200, in 1999 because I started to drive much more than before - in total 40 000 kms per year - and needed an economical, safe and quiet car. It still feels as good or better than most new cars I've tried, even after 433 200 kms!
(OK, the W221 S 320 CDI I drove last spring was also a great car as well as the SL 350 I tried last summer, but they have a totally different price!)
I would like to have a W126 SEL in my collection as well but I need more garage space...
(I've also got a Saab 900 Turbo 16V from 1984 and a Corvette C4 Coupe' from 1989, sold new in Texas, to get some variety...)
