one reply said this is a silly poll unless you can afford a new mercedes, you dont have to be rich to own a mercedes, my decisions are based on passion for the history of mercedes benz. my goal is not to work may way up to a new mercedes but to work my way to older mercedes, i am 26 yrs old, i drive a 76, now i am looking for a 60's and hopefully to buy a 50's before i die, and yes my dream is the get the imfamous gullwing i dont care if doesnt run if it needs work, if i get it i want to be buried in it. its called love and passion, you just dont own a mercedes, u become a part of mercedes history.
Well...I have 2 1990 Miatas...blow cylinder heads were blown within 1 week of each other...I was in the need for a new vehicle. I went to a dealership to buy a 2003 Ford Explorer (triple black xlt) and was ready to pay for it when they advised me that it had been sold a few hours earlier. To make up for the mistake on their parts, they dropped the price of the ML320 (my two of two different colors) to match the explorer. Needless to say they got a check and I got a ML320
It's only been a week...but so far no complaints...well worth the money.

Why shall i buy a new mercedes.. I can afford to pay 100k for a brand new benz but being wise and get a 2nd hand car with a law milage and pay 50k is the right thing to do.. i'd prefere to invest the 50k that im gonna lose if i got a brand new benz..
I will never buy a brand new Benz unless i have millions in my account, cause by then i will never sell any of my cars..

Well,I don't have millions in my account but I bought a new '08 e350 anyway; love does that sort of thing to me
Hello,
I bought my CLK320 on March 11th so I'm a newby to MB ownership-
Have admired them for years (old 450SL) My brother had a 71 sedan that I dont remember the number but it was fast! I use to drive it to do my errands- Lots of room-
Mostly I've owned (in my adult years) American V8 convertibles- 91 Cadillac Allante, 88Ford Mustang, 69 Couger Eliminator (not a convertible), 75 Corvette (T top), 91 Corvette (T top), 57 Thunderbird, 04 PCR Thunderbird- also some strange ones- Suzuki Samari (what was I thinking! and yes I turned it over) In my younger days I loved 850 Fiat's and owned 3, then a mid engine one in 74 (targa top)- Cant think of the number of it... Very pretty but fell apart at 40000 miles- It was after that I started buying American (mostly)
I always liked the looks of CLK's and my 04 PCR wasnt making me happy- I was also checking out the Chevrolet SSR pickups but A back seat might be handy- I havent had one since the 88 Mustang- A couple of females I know (did I mention I'm female?) has MB's and they love them- and the SSR wasnt the truck I thought it would be- dont recommend it just, from my reserch-
So I checked into the CLK500 (V8 and all) I liked what I saw on the 2005's and was in my budget-
I like white cars- The PCR was Monterey Mist- A fancy name for Green/Grey- First car that wasnt white I'd owned since the Mustang- White CLK is not that common- I was talking to a guy here in Dallas about his CLK500 but he also had a beautiful white CLK320 with the ash interior and ash cloth top- and it had the wood steering wheel- and do you know the CLK320 get 20 miles to the gallon IN TOWN! I'm thinking a V6... What if I miss the V8 engine... I drove the V6 around a little, trying it out and it is very peppy- and I was already in love with it- It was mine!
and I still have the 57 Thunderbird if I feel the need more speed- lol
Regards
