I am a huge car guy. I used to be a big BMW enthusiast, which I still one my first one and probably will never sell. Recently, I had the opportunity to join MB as an employee and would love to have my career here for many years to come. I bought the girlfriend the wagon, which had everything we needed at the time and at a great price. Recently, I picked up an E class for my daily, which both MB's have been very good so far. There is not much to say other than looking at the star on the hood driving a nice clean car. I am now a big MB enthusiast.

Used to drive them in wok, including for protection duties with the Royal family. Just very impressed with the overall image although not with the rust as they got older.

My reason
All Mercedes Benz we have owned have been/are very safe well built cars made to be driven.
I fell in desperate like with a 1973 220D when I was just a 10 years old. It belonged to the Landlord of a apartment building near our house. She was always telling what a wonderful car it was and of course a short ride did the trick. I then told myself one day I will own a Mercedes Benz. In High school I bought my first MBZ for $500.00 dollars a 1965 190c fintail four on the tree Not running. I rebuilt the 4cyl motor and off we went. I was hooked from that day forward what a wonderful ride. The more research I did on the company the more I understood they are simply the best.

Seriously, my wife and I decided that our other weekend car need to be updated. We decided to sell the all original, unknown miles (no odometer), 4th owner 1927 Ford Model T and get something a little more reliable.

Turns out that we still have it but the 04, SL600 sure gets as many smiles when it goes down the street and you don't have to wear your walking shoes when you go for a ride

I have loved the w123 every since growing up watching the neighbor drive his back and forth every day. They babied that car. They were a proud German family and although I am black, they were the nicest people to us. Since the Dad was an Airforce Colonel and Boy Scout Master, my brothers and I would take camping trips with their son.

The sound of the engine, the quality of the ride, and thud of the door closing was just magical for me.

One day I hope to acquire a 300D Turbo Coupe - the thought of having a well running reliable one without rust issues (at least rust proofed) would be truly a blessing.

My answer to the poll is "all the above" :-) But honestly - safety. Living in the 3rd largest city, my car had probably saved my life at least 3 times in 17 years. Between handling and reliable stoppage, I won't drive any other brand.

I bought my 2011 S63 right before I got married. I wanted something stylish and powerful. I was going to get a GTR but the fiancee at the time came with me, looked at it, then started to complain that its a 2 door. I tried to talk her into it but the one sentence that changed my mind was "so when we have kids and I need to go to work and you have to take them out I get to take this car to work?"

I think the S63 was a perfect alternative :-)
