Prestige, oh-lala

Security - I have chosen 'security' because it is the closest 'characteristic' which came into my mind considering this poll and the MB car I'm driving atm. I find one 'characteristic' quite annoying, probably because it is even the one that obtained most of the votes: 'prestige'.

To my opinion one does not buy and drive a Benz because one wants to impress - and this is what is meant by the word 'prestige' - other people. Don't we give a damn on what other people might think about us?

I drive a Benz because I do a favour to me and my family - it is a very nice, convenient and solid car, it is also quite safe and somewhat (to some extend) reliable.

This is my precious opinion ... haha.

This is one of the better comments on biodiesel. The concept is good, diesel engine makers are researching intensively on how to design engines better suited to biodiesel, and various authorities are working to create specifications and definitions for biodiesel. But home-prepared for your modern diesel engine? That is too much like creating your own medicines without knowing all the risks and side effects. For those interested, California energy website has much information of fuels. So do the two
German technical journals MTZ and ATZ. One can subscribe as I do or buy individual articles. Society of Automotive Engineers also has numerous reports on biodiesel. These fuels work with the least problems in old-fashioned pre-chamber equipped stationary diesel engines, such as the very slow speed one-and-two cylinder engines widely used in India and China. All others would be well advised to buy from a reputable biodiesel maker and even then not expect perfection.

I bet they neglected to tell you all this , right ? .

Free waste oil is getting very hard to come by as folks now pay for it .

If you fail to properly prepare , wash , filter and so on the fuel , your Mercedes will run poorly and begin to smoke before it grinds to a smoking halt .

BEWARE ! few realize the work they're tasking on and jink the car in anger a year or less later .

I'm a die hard Diesel Head and I hate seeing good folks get disappointed by not knowing what they're getting into , choose carefully here .

Why I bought my wife a white clk cabrio !

I purchased a classic corvette in 2011.
She always liked a convertible.
She loved the '57 thunderbird's...... till she saw this white cabrio.
Cabrio came home
Now, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this engineering marvel.
It's so much more refined than Detroit muscle.
I enjoy driving so driving this car is a dream.
I never had a German car before.
I borrowed a '71 VW superbeetle to make a beer run in college once
So this is how Mercedes Benz has changed my life.
I am afraid to go near a dealership though

I had four MBs including the latest W210 so far. A `73 200, a `85 190D, a `95 C180 Classic and `01 E240 Elegance. The biggest reason I prefer MB to the other brands is the safety. Also smoothness and quietness are other reasons. If you don`t forget that these cars are also man made (some stupids even do not change oil on proper time thinking that nothing will happen to a MB) and service them regularly, you can drive them until you die.
I can say those comfortably because I have had 15 cars (2 Fords (both `87), 4 Subarus (`84, `91, `92, `98), 3 Toyotas (`90, `95, `09), 3 Renaults (`89, `00, `01), 1 Mazda (`93), 1 Buick (`84), 1 Cadillac (`82)) excluding MBs so far.

I love my MB's because of safety, smoth drive and beauty. Once you have and drive a MB it's hard to go back to any other brand. It is a life experience, care a lot for my car.

I am not your typical MB owner because I have own a Sprinter, now for nearly 10 years. I bought my van because there was literally nothing else like it in the States. Now Ford and Fiat/Dodge are bring there Euro van to America after MB has been here for over 10 years.

I will never have anything but a Sprinter Van it has been a great van and I love the new look for 2014, too bad they don't offer a Sprinter on the list of European delievey.

my first MB was a 2003 ML 350. I've been hooked ever since. my wife has the 2003 ML now in Mint condition and I had a 2004 ML 500 I just traded in for the new one. it had 220K miles on it and still running strong.... One of the mechanics at the dealership bought it for his son's first Mercedes. So I know it's getting a good home.
