The 14 Most Revolutionary Cars That Changed the World

One hundred and thirty years is a long time.

Thatís the age, more or less, of the automotive industry and naturally, its history is steep. Thousands of makes and models have come and gone over the decades, but only a few have really revolutionized the way auto manufacturers do business.

These are the vehicles that made everyone sit up and take notice. The ones that reshaped the North American automotive landscape.

Narrowing the field down to just one vehicle per decade was not easy. We focused on cars, trucks and SUVs that changed the industry specifically in North America, although that doesnít mean it had to specifically be a North American vehicle. So, here are the 14 vehicles that changed the world and a few honorable mentions as well.

Oh what could have been.

Can anyone imagine how good Tucker's car would have been had he been German instead of American? I'm sure that MB saw the genius of some of his design and engineering, as such, we get to drive the best Cars in the world today.

Corporate America brought Tucker to his knees which is such a shame.

His Legacy was enormous and it is such a shame to think that, in his mind, he died a failure.

The Tucker certainly was a revolutionary car but i dont see it as a world changing one,it might have been had it gone into production.Rear engines did not catch on,headlights that turn with the steering never turned up on high production autos and at least in the US they just kept building the same old same old with few real changes beyond styling.
