Hello all,

Just want to share my experience with you and see if anyone else has been able to deal with this successfully?

I've had a pre-owned E-class before and it was great excepted it literally fell apart. So much later after following Mercedes marketing and believing that the quality is comming back, I gave this another try and this time bought a 2009 B200 Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Performance Mercedes (St. Catharines). According to the official Mercedes-Benz marketing materials, this is like buying "a peace of mind" that your car won't break.

Long story short, I've owned the car for about 4 months now and it has had multiple expensive breakdowns - Oxygen sensor $800, leaking oil, break switch, the same bearing broke twice, the front hood would not close, sometimes the flat tire sensor goes off and turns off all electrical systems (which sucks in the middle of a snow storm).

The car has 60,000 km.. and is in warranty up to 120,000. However, be aware that this warranty covers nothing, and you will receive minimal help from your dealer when you need it most.

So the ideas that Mercedes-benz has might be awesome, but you should know that this goes along with poor build quality and a major customer rip off! I am jumping ship to Toyota now!

Has this happened to you too and how did you deal with it?
