Since when have sub 7 second 0-60 MPH times been considered anemic? I've driven a current gen C350 and it certainly never felt anemic in any regard. Also, the 3.5L V6 is definitely not a gas guzzler - it's about the same as other V6 powered cars in its respective classes.
I agree. The Current C350s and E350s deliver acceleration performance that once took a healthy V8. The V8 E420/E430s and the SL500 roadsters needed 6-6.5 seconds to reach 60 mph.
I do believe the newer V6 cars benefit greatly from their 7 speed transmissions though...keeping the revs in the proper range for optimal performance.
