Well that was a wild one. That Magnussen crash was intense. Glad he seems ok.

Decent race. My take of the opening lap, turn 1 incident is that it was Max to blame. At first I thought it was Vettel but after looking at replays you could see that Max went completely outside of the track limits. It seemed he was trying to get back the position(s) he lost with the poor start. Vettel left room for one car and quite honestly if Max didn't stick the car outside the track limits and had been patient he would have finished much higher. Also I think the drivers need to speak with him about his constant moving while defending. I get he is young and feels invincible but those multiple changes of direction coming out of radillon as Kimi was trying to get ahead were downright dangerous. Either the drivers figure it out amongst themselves but if this continues to happen then the stewarts have to start penalizing him.

Mercedes aren't for people who want to have one, it's for people who can have one.

I watched the NBC and SKY slow mo several times and agree, but I doubt the stewards wanted to incite the wrath of the estimated 50000 Dutch fans at the circuit

I liked Vettel's post race comments in Will Buxton's Paddock Pass vid.

Just watched the videos and I he said what Max did was legal. I thought you were allowed one move to block, am I wrong here? I saw Max move right and then squirreled a little left which made Kimi quite upset.

The Grand Prix Drivers Association = GPDA (Pres. Alex Wurz, Dir Jenson Button & Seb Vettel are certain to discuss Max's moves, especially the one at 340kmh with Kimmy.
We may even hear from FIA / Charlie Whiting. High speed moves like Max's, while legal, have the potential for a disastrous outcome.

As former Benetton team boss and the guy who was in the car when Frank Williams had the crash which put him in a wheelchair, Windsor is one of the most experienced and respected jorno's around the paddock. Also the guy who tried the US F1 team off the ground before the world economy took a dive.

I rewatched this incident several times from all the angles and on-boards, and I blame Seb. He turned in sharply across the apex and didn't leave room for one car. Coming into the corner, Max had a good overlap on Kimi before he left the track, and was entitled to some space. Kimi forced him onto the side but they would have all made it around if Vettel hadn't crashed into Kimi.
