Vegas would be cool. The pundits for a long time have said the US should have 2 or 3 Grand Prix (near East Coast, West Coast, Detroit ?), but to have top talent American drivers in competitive cars in the mix would be essential imo.
In an ideal world, Ford and/or GM might take notice and get involved at least as engine suppliers.
They are surely capable to build good F1 engines.
I think only then would US advertising dollars follow.
But given how Indy / Cart / NASCAR is entrenched in American culture, any of this might still lack long term attraction with the present F1 financial model re percentage and the inequitable way income is distributed among the teams.
Another would be stability of rules needed for long term planning.
