This brings back memories of Mark Donohue's excerpt from his book The Unfair Advantage.
The Porsche engineers would ask Mark if they had gotten enough power many times. Mark at one point said "when I can spin the tires at end of the straightaway that will be enough power".
The man had a degree from Brown engineering and really propelled racing forward. People thought he was nuts for trail braking and for the last 30 years it is what all the racing schools teach.
That was just one tiny legacy of Mark's along with the amazing memories of his input on getting the most Porsche could legally and reliably get out of the 917/30.
