I have only done track days on my motorcycle, and once I can fit into my leathers again, the RC8 and I will have some fun at the. National Corvette Museum Motorsport Park.
Until then, the "cage" gets all the fun.
I had gone down there today with the intent of filming a lap so I could learn the track. Within 45 seconds of my first lap, I took three pictures then chucked the phone aside and set to work on hunting down the pace car (there to keep you under 100 mph....we went well over that in the straight lol).
It was just me and the pace car on the track, fricking awesome!!!!
Once I put her in sport mode, folded the mirrors and shut off the AC.....oh.....it was on!
I need a bumper sticker that says "this ain't your granny's Benz......and it ain't your granny driving!" LOL.
Bottom line, taking a car to the track is just as fun as a bike (and no worries of falling off the car). The 600 will get to play next!
If your are close to Bowling Green...do it.
