1968 Tasman series , when F1 came down under. Hooked since then. Saw a bunch of races in 78 and 79 in Europe , Monaco and Spa, enough said.

My father took me to watch F1 at the old Nuerburgring when I was in short pants. Now that was a proper race track. I have been following F1 ever since. Also been to Hockenheim, Zandvoort, Zolder, Spa, Monza, Monaco, and Estoril, or followed on German TV. In pre Satellite TV, and long before internet days, it wasn't always easy. In 2 years West Africa and 10 years in Iran, shortwave radio was the only way. European racing mag subscriptions via airmail, where the mail usually cost more than the mag.
Its so much easier today.

Hold on to your easy chairs
