I think Nico either crashes or has a breakdown.

Mercedes aren't for people who want to have one, it's for people who can have one.

Smile Canadian Grand Prix

It is very difficult to pass on the Gilles Villeneuve track and as Nico has the pole, he has a great advantage as in Monaco.
The second chicane (Silver) is the one to watch as there are good passing opportunities there. The track is on an island in the St lawrence river and you get there by subway (Metro)
The drivers like Montreal as it is a great party city. Loved the 11 years I lived there and the great Grand Prix and Group C races in 1989 and 1990.

You got closest, with the names right.
What a crazy race (in a good way). Sorry for Felipe though.
Cheers

Best race I've seen in ages. The battle between the Mercedes is so much fun to watch, very glad they're letting them at it and that they're both so close in terms of talent - the Vettel/Weber dynamic was never this exciting.

Also, I'd be in the happy caucus if they sat Perez out for a race. His move on the last lap collecting Massa was unfathomably stupid. I know he got a grid position penalty, but I don't think it's sufficient. 20 years ago, someone may well be dead as a result of that stunt.

Agree, agree the race was one of the better ones. I wish I was there. I have been to 3 Mount Royal races. The first was to see Senna in a BLACK CAR...wow how time marches on.

Perez is saying that Massa turned into him and that he was taking the same racing line he always had. Really? It looked to me that he was left of the line and turned left just before impact. Oh well. I do not like it when people say "thats just racing"...because that crash was not racing. Sad to see Massa go out that way because he is not going to have very many years left.

I really like the radio communication with engineer and Ricciardo. Engineer questions Ricciardo about where he wants to pass Perez and says they will set up the electrical power units for maximum power there. So they are going to limit battery discharge around the track so that he will have %100 available when needed. That is excellent tech, excellent strategy, excellent execution etc...I am over the conversation about the car noise when all this is going on right in front of out eyes. just my $0.02

+ 2 on Perez. Such uncalled for and dangerous moves shouldn't happen at the top level of the sport. The 5 place grid penalty is too lenient.

Mercedes still coming in second when down 160 hp on power is a rather ominous 'all resistance is futile' message to all the other teams.
The outside move by Ricciardo was epic. Awesome race.
Cheers
