Mercedes got it right!

The idea of these new F1 engines is that any advantages will filter down to road cars.

The main Mercedes innovation seems to be with the turbo!
Instead of an integrated turbo, they have placed the compressor at the coldest front part of the engine and arranged the intercooler pipes to interact with the exhaust driven turbo at the back of the engine. They seem also to have positioned everything to be at the best weight advantage.
This translates into 1 -2 seconds per lap above anything else

It's just waiting to see if Lewis or Nico become world champion this year.

Many are complaining about the new exhaust noise but the high revving turbo whine was quite obvious in today's race which for me compensates for the usual V8 noise

Let's see how long it takes for these engines to be fitted to road cars????

A belated thank's to Ross Brawn from Mercedes wouldn't hurt.
Cheers

With the engine freeze few people would bet against someone in a Mercedes to become World Champion this year.
I hope we won't see a cluster fuck like the Championship going to the wire between the Mercedes team mates, and the double point idiocy deciding the winner.

We could see TV's being thrown out of windows (including mine).
Cheers

Yes I quite agree, some may wonder the real reason why he didn't stay on???

I'll bet he'll be back next year with Honda

Toto Wolf

Perhaps Brawn left because of the old...to many chefs spoil the broth. Lauda, Wolf, Brawn. Where do you stop. It gets confusing, toes get stepped on, ego's flair and men turn into brats.
There really needs to be one commander and chief.

Or may be he was just done. He has acomplished just about everything in F1 that he could.
