News: Ecclestone has 'no doubt' over 2015 race in New Jersey
The ongoing saga of the on-off Grand Prix of America at New Jersey has taken another twist with reports in the US media that Bernie Ecclestone has had enough of current organisers Leo Hindery Jr. and his Port Imperial Racing Associates (PIRA).

Formula Money's Christian Sylt is quotes Ecclestone as saying PIRA is not only in breach of its race contract but that it has not paid him since a 2011 agreement was signed to bring F1 to New Jersey. He is now looking for new blood to come in and take over.

Originally intended to take place in 2013, the race is now not on the 2014 calendar and there are increasing doubts as to whether it will ever happen. But Sylt says PIRA has been lent $10 million to help with raising other funding and it is now possible Ecclestone will pass responsibility over to a new group.

"I've kept it going because somebody might come up and there has been two or three people who are interested and are looking into it," Ecclestone is quoted as saying. "If anyone comes in today, they can have it.

"All it needs is somebody serious to come up and say we will get behind this and make it happen. I have given Hindery too much leeway. I wanted to believe that he would do it."

I wonder if Chris Pook is still involved. He knows how to get things done.
