Women F1 drivers, a good idea?

There has been a lot of talk about women drivers in F1.

Sad as it may seem, the following is not doing their cause much good

BBC News - F1 Marussia driver hurt in Duxford testing crash

No trees were harmed creating this message, however some electrons were very inconvenienced.

That's a shame. Best wishes to her for a full recovery. It would be great to see a woman in F1.

Hoping for a quick recovery. Wasn't there a lady Italian F1 driver back in the 50's or 60's?

Unfortunately, the loss of one eye means the end of her racing career.
Why the hell was a Marussia transporter parked where she could crash into it?
Maria Villota has a impressive racing pedigree, incl the 24 hrs Daytona in a Ferrari Modena

You could blame the transporter for being there, but she was finished with the session and was slowly cruising back when the car suddenly accelerated into the transporter parked just outside the paddock. Odd crash...no one has released what the telemetry showed. But guessing, since it was her first test in the car, I would say driver error, as I seriously doubt that the car accelerated on its' own.

Marussia update on injured driver

Earlier today, Maria underwent further surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. This was a planned procedure that would depend upon the continued stability of Maria’s head injuries, and this morning the medical team were sufficiently happy with her progress to allow the operation to go ahead.
The surgeons successfully completed the next phase of surgery required to address Maria’s facial injuries. After the lengthy initial procedure, which commenced on Tuesday and concluded on Wednesday, today’s secondary operation took significantly less time.

Since the operation today, Maria’s condition in relation to the head trauma she received has further improved, to the extent that she is now “serious but stable”.

Whilst Maria remains acutely ill, this confirms that she has been responding well to the treatment she has received since her accident. Coupled with the significant progress that has been made with regard to her facial injuries, we feel sufficiently comfortable to proceed with a further update.

On a more personal note, we have taken a great deal of encouragement from today’s developments and the rather more positive signs for Maria’s family.

I don't thinks so its good idea because the female Formula One driver who survived a horrific head-on crash at a British airfield has lost her right eye in the wake of the accident, it was revealed today.

For a benzworld vendor agreement contact
