I see flashes of it in Vettel, but Alonso definitely has it.

At Ferrari, Schumacher was not only fast, but instrumental in getting the engineering / team management talent to follow him to Scuderia Ferrari, to transform the team from Modena drama club, to arguably the best Formula 1 team of the period.
How many drivers do we know that would actually sleep / live at the factory during critical development phases.
He was also known to frequently take his whole team to lunch and dinner. Everyone from floor sweeper to factory worker to mechanic.
A closer than other teams working relationship with Bridgestone didn't hurt either

That he was able to put his car on pole (his 89th) in Monaco, on of the few 'drivers' circuits on the calendar, should be proof enough that the old fox has still got the speed.

Absolutely love the reference to the "drama club" Amen to that too.
