Thumbs up

Yes it is a great day to be an MB fan today...I purposely timed my flight arrival from Hong Kong, to catch the race on cable...caught the last part with Nico winning!

It would have been interesting to see, if and by how much Rosberg would have been ahead of Schumacher at the end of the race....It should be an interesting 2012 season.

Wow, great overtaking / racing.
Rosberg won by 20.7 sec over the second placed car.
Would Button have been able to challenge Rosberg for the win without his 9sec + pit stop?
Probably not..
It would have been nice to see Schumi finish on the podium, but perhaps he used up all his good luck in the first run?
So close and yet so far, sorry for Raikkonen.
Great race.

Bravo for Nico, and the team. Let's hope they get their mistakes out of the way early this season so we can see both cars in the running. Knowing how much emphasis Ross Brawn puts on pit stop precision, I wouldn't want to be in the briefing room when Ross gets around to this part of the review.

Had a few things gone differently, Jenson just might have had his hands full trying to get to Nico but having to pass Michael!

I wonder what Ingo Spiech had to say? (he's the shareholder who has recently been critical of MB being in F1).

Mercedes budget for F1 is very small compared to the other teams. It is very exciting to see what they have been able to do in a fairly short amount of time since taking over the Brawn F1 team. Not to say Honda didn't do a lot of the heavy lifting, then left just as their efforts were about to pay off. But as fast as things change in F1 kudos to Mercedes for getting a win.

Very happy for Nico. Button reminded him that he took longer than Nico to score his first victory, 117 races versus 111 or something like that.

I think the season still belongs to McLaren but it will be an exciting one to watch!

At last we have a winner!

Cheers to ross Braun and his team. Mercedes has a history in racing and some of us love to watch F1. I read the blog about the shareholders wanting out of racing. Do they realize that cars are coveted and sold because of success on the track? It's really too bad that people investing in Daimler-Benz stock are only there for the money. They might be better off to invest in Honda. Lots of forgetable stuff coming out of that factory. Thank God there are people in our car company who realize Mercedes is more than a bottom line!

I drive way too fast to worry about cholesterol!
