Well, keeping my fingers crossed for compatriot Schumacher didn't help.

Excellent drive from Alonso, great drive from Perez.
Also, thumbs up for Kimi, who looks much more like a complete driver the second time around.
His raw talent shows in how fast he got up to speed after the hiatus.
After receiving second and third chances, Massa may be past his Ferrari expiration date.
The Sauber team boss has confirmed previous approaches from Ferrari.
F1 pundits predict a Massa - Perez swap?
Perez is part of Ferrari's drivers program, and the money from backer Carlos Slim doesn't. hurt (would likely stay with Sauber).

I too should have known it was going to be too much too soon when Schumacher captured 3rd position on the grid. Another race goes by where we don't get to see how well he can do with the new car.

Total agreement on Alonso, Perez and (I hate to admit it) Kimi doing well. Considering the time he has been away from these cars, he doesn't appear to have missed a day.

Your account of what is going on with Perez and Massa is very interesting if not ironic. Didn't Massa start at Sauber? I remember his crash during the Canadian GP when the Sauber lost a rear rotor but am not sure whether or not that was his first team in F1.

I've paid attention to the reports of MB's "F-duct", and now I have a much better understanding of how it works with the DRS. It's the REAR wing and the air passages that funnel air to the front wing to stall it. It makes much more sense now. Not a bad idea, BUT, depending on the circuit's use of the DRS zone, this has little effect, except for qualifying. Still, cool work!
