Just how many Moderators do you think we have, and all of them have a full time job. This has got to be the most stupid statement you have made so far. This is a car forum, not a police state man.
You are being exceedingly selfish on this subject. Should we ban newspapers? and should we set up a network to block news reports? Just so you can avoid seeing the results before you get to see the race?
I re-read my post and don't see anything "selfish" or "stupid". Most car sites have two Mods just like here and they (and their members) manage to the site's rules. As I said, if there was a policy change the culture would evolve and it would require little policing.
Your comments about "stupid statements", banning newspapers(?) and a police state don't make any sense and are off the point. If this wasn't a valid topic/request why does the site choose not to post Race Results in thread titles? If you want to approach this constructively why not post a one-person one-vote poll that asks the members:
Which of the following best describes your thoughts on posting racing news in Thread Titles:
1. There is no need to restrict what can be posted in a Thread Title
2. Thread Titles should not contain Race Results
3. Thread Titles should not contain Race or Qualifying Results
4. Thread Titles should not contain Race, Qualifying, or Practice Results
5. Thread Titles should not contain anything
If the rest of the community feels Qualifying results shouldn't be treated the same as Race Results I can accept that. But derogatory comments, taking the discussion off topic, and self-serving excuses for not wanting to do something different, aren't as constructive as you might think.
How about that survey?
