While the tires played a great deal on the racing, this track's layout has provided the best GP of 2010, and if I'm honest the best I've seen in the past 2 years. Even though Nando wasn't on the podium where he belongs it was still a damn great race.
This layout is so fast and close to the walls, they don't call the Wall of Champions a badge of honor for no reason.
Long straights and tight hairpins are what make late brake entries and overtaking so exciting here. You have to be committed at 12 for it to work out just right, too much kerb and its over.
Tilke hasn't impressed me at all, aside from Malyasia his tracks are boring as hell. He is just another well connected middle man for Bernie's plunder. Singapore is boring without a safety car to actually permit overtaking, Valencia, Singapore, China, Bahrain Abu Dhabi are terrible, and barring turn 8 at the Hunguraring its just another Tilke bore fest or Tilkedromes
Suzuka, Spa, Monza, and to lesser extent (old) Silverstone are proper tracks. He ruined the only good part at Barcelona.
