Silverstone F1 Predictions.

Things have really started to hot up now.... who said this season would be boring, and we're only half way through

I received a couple of emails today from my UK based friends (F1 employees) with a lot of inside information and gossip.

Based on that, I'm going for:

Lewis
Jenson
Mark

I think Mark is running with an old Vettel chassis (he slightly bent his in the last race), which would make finishing in front of Vettel very sweet.

I was told to ignore the Ferrari challenge and watch out for Force India.

Any lucky person that predicts the correct winning order will receive a collection of 'English Real Ale' beermats

No trees were harmed creating this message, however some electrons were very inconvenienced.

Qualifying - Rosberg in fifth Schumacher in tenth

MERCEDES GP PETRONAS Driver’s Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher finished their practice sessions Friday finishing in fifth and sixth positions. In today’s qualifying for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, MERCEDES GP PETRONAS showed an improved performance from recent races with Nico Rosberg achieving fifth place on the grid and Michael Schumacher in tenth position after a mistake on his quick lap in Q3 compromised his chances of finishing higher up the field.

Vettel, Alonso, Webber. Something tells me Nando is out for blood after Valencia, this has an air of late 2007.

Nico honestly thinks a podium is in the cards, I previously wrote that their might one left in a fluke kind of incident, but his Merc isn't even at William's level; he'll surely be battling for the last points with Pedro and Kobayashi the rest of the season. As a team I don't think Mercedes is even well directed, they had a sure shot contender (Renault battle for 4th in WCC) with Nico scoring points and podiums consistently early on, they abandoned that to have Micheal play the lead role, they only have themselves to blame for this blunder.

The fact that Micheal is even staying on for 2011 makes e believe that next years prospects for the Merc team will be about the same. Its all the same to me, with any luck their will be 4 Aces instead of 2 at the end of 2011!

Hell, at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if they pull a BMW before Michel's supposed 3 year contract is up.
