European Grand Prix in Valencia...predictions

I've managed to scrounge a lift with a fellow member of the Jerez flying club up to Valencia to see the race. (I don't particularly like Cessna 182's though )

Cutting through the hype it seems it's going to be McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull.

I'm going for....

Lewis
Fernando
Jenson

The winning prediction will receive the contents of the SLS safety car ashtray

LOL. That's a good one. Anyway, have a great trip. The Cessna "Skywagon" is a good sturdy aircraft. Just don't fly into weather!

I'm going to wait for at least practice before predicting.

I prefer my own Piper Warrior, but I'm grounded until I have an eye operation in September (Warning. never be tempted to tack a weld without eye protection )

The weather won't be a problem, it summer here

Ouch! Good luck with the surgery.

I was checked out in a Warrior about 20 years ago. Nice aircraft. After flying the high wing Cessnas, it was nice going to the low wing and being able to see the runway while turning base and final.

I'm just back, from Valencia, and you nearly got some well chewed gum and a two Magnum ice cream sticks
A very close prediction

A spectacular airborne crash with Mark Webber who just tossed away the steering wheel and walked away.

I'm very disappointed with a petulant Fernando Alonso who acted like a spoilt child, and won't accept that he was out-driven by Lewis, and the others in front of him !!! Mariquita

I was really impressed with Kobayashi who managed a seventh place and Rubens who came in at a very respectable fourth place to earn some well deserved points.

I would love to go to Silverstone in a couple of weeks, but I'll have to rein in the spending

That was a fun GP to watch, but what in the hell....

I have had this growing disgust for Mark Weber for a while now, and I don't know where it began but I'm sure if I reviewed each GP I could tell you. In short, he seems to be responsible for wrecking an awful lot of people's cars.

And this total lunacy we saw in Valencia pretty much nailed the coffin shut on him for me. He should be excluded from the rest of the championship and his super license revoked. He has been blatantly in the wrong in huge ways very, very often this season, and damn near killed people on two separate occasions. If it were ANYONE ELSE, he'd be screaming for their heads. What. An. Imbecile.

BIG UPS to Kobayashi for putting it on Alonso, in Spain! Quite impressive, and tons of fun to watch Sauber show people he wasn't always a back marker. Also cool to see the Williams competitive again.

The last two GP's have been pretty exciting, hope it keeps up that way.

Also, best part of the whole thing for me as a U.S. fan of F1, was NOT having to listen to Bob Varsha try so hard to make himself seem interesting for two hours. I've been wanting Leigh Diffey to get the call for F1 in light of his great work with ALMS and road racing, and he didn't disappoint. Varsha is the American version of Alain de Cadenet, and like him, should stick with the classic car auction deal where his pseudo-intellectualism would be more at home.

Glad I got all that off my chest.

+ Kudo for a great end race by Kobayashi. The guy definitely got some big ones.
Great drive from Vettel beside a few lock ups, same fro Hamilton. Smart drive by Button.
What will Charlie Whiting's verdict be?
