I still think that the owner is not a clean business man! I don't think anyone in F1 wants to be associated with that kind shady business!

Haha, overtaking would get much easier. Maybe they've found the solution to making the races more exciting!

Stefan applying with Cosworth engines
19 July 2010

Zoran Stefanovic, one of the men who hopes to see his team fill the thirteenth grid slot, has explained that he hopes to join next season’s grid with Cosworth engines, having been in discussions with four manufacturers.

At present, a number of possible squads are lining up for the final garage in the pit lane, with Stefan GP being joined by those including Spain’s Epsilon Euskadi, the United States’ Cypher Group and most recently the 1997 Champion’s Villeneuve Racing, which is believed to be linked to the Durango GP2 team.

For Stefan, a hope to enter the 2010 campaign with ex Toyota chassis and gearboxes faded pre-season, with the Belgrade-based outfit now focussing on its own design.

“We have applied for the entry,” Stefanovic explained to F1Pulse.com.

“We are not going to disclose anything before we know the outcome of the whole process and that’s going to be by the end of August, according to the FIA. A lot of people are saying that it will be done in a shorter time - by the end of July - but it’s at the end of August.”

Stefanovic went on to explain that he is hoping to be in action with Cosworth powerplants. “We spoke with four different engine manufacturers,” he continued. “and we’ll be applying and using Cosworth. We think they are a viable option. It has the potential to be in the front of the grid - there is no doubt now, with what Williams has shown.”

He also touched upon those who have been linked to the team, such as Hispania Team Principal Colin Kolles and former McLaren engineer Mike Coughlan – a key figure in the highly controversial espionage scandal of 2007. “Kolles was not associated with the team,” he said.

“Mike Coughlan was involved but he is not anymore. He is now working for some American company - I don’t think he is related to motorsport anymore.”
