BMW Purchase Rumor

Yahoo UK's F1 news is reporting on a rumor that Peter Sauber and Nelson Piquet may be planning a joint bid for the purchase of BWM's F1 team.

Skip Barber has a good program. And from there he can go to Formula Mazda. But I did like those BMW's, and it was a great development program. Graham got into one at 15 yrs old, his first race car after karting. Damn shame it didn't catch on over here. It's still alive in Europe, and doing well.

There was a fairly large cultural gap between how the Germans wanted things to run and how things work in American racing. Anyone at RLR will tell you they were a pain in the butt to work with.

I just hope they don't pull the plug on ALMS support. It's going to be lonely around the shop if they do.
