It's possible that the new Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi will not be ready for November 1 and talks are ongoing to bring Montreal back in for 09.
Naturally, Montreal will want a multi-year contract with no last minute surprises like before. That one week around the F-1 race brings in $100 million of activity for Montreal.
Some change would be good for F-1......like getting rid of Bernie.
So why not snow tires....it would add a new element of surprise and people would really get their moneys worth if the race lasted 4 to 5 hours because of icy and blizzard conditions.

You'd need to take a page from the winter carnival in Quebec City and give the spectators giant hollow walking canes full of Caribou to get through those 4-5 hours.
The last six years we have been driving up to Montreal for the GP. I love the event and the city and would be ecstatic if it were to come back - but not just for one year. I would prefer to never have the GP in Montreal again, than to have it one more year only. SO MONTREAL, PLAY HARDBALL WITH BERNIE. In this economy, he doesn't have as many options as he had before.
Well,... Bernie is still in the game ...and as of yesterday....so is Montreal.
F-1 is back in Montreal for 2010, but some details(read cash) still have to be worked out.
Large brown bags of $$$ were seen being delivered to Bernie...
It would seem that June 6, 2010 is set as the return date for the F-1 in Montreal.
It is speculated that a contract for the next 5 years is part of this deal...Let's hope Bernie doesn't squeeze us for too much more $$$.
