Probably not an ideal tactic when visibility is so poor
Weber should've kept the distance from LH, Same with SV. This was behind safety car and there was no reason to stay at rear wing of the guy in front

Hamilton under investigation over Japan driving

Hamilton under investigation over Japan driving
Formula One stewards in Shanghai are examining new evidence concerning Lewis Hamilton’s driving behind the safety car in last weekend’s rain-swept Japanese Grand Prix.

The McLaren star was leading the pack awaiting a restart when the two cars immediately behind him - Mark Webber’s Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel’s Toro Rosso - collided, putting both out of the race.

Webber and Vettel both hinted that erratic driving from Hamilton had played a role in their shunt. Video footage is understood to show the championship leader moving to the right of the track and slowing immediately prior to the accident, in which Vettel ran into the back of Webber's car.

"It definitely contributed to Sebastian hitting me up the back because he (Hamilton) wasn't doing what he was supposed to be doing (behind the safety car), clearly," Webber told Thursday’s FIA press conference in China.

Vettel was penalised for his part in the accident and is due to drop ten places on the grid for Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix.

Basically - his lead over Alonso is too much - show must be adjusted to make last 2 races more interesting.

Chinese GP - Hamilton's Fuji win under threat

Here is the latest twist:

Lewis Hamilton could be stripped of his Japanese Grand Prix victory after FIA race stewards announced they were looking into the standard of his driving in the race.

Webber slams Hamilton's driving
The 22-year-old Briton was subjected to a torrent of abuse from Red Bull driver Mark Webber, who claimed he was driving "erratically" behind the safety car in dangerously wet conditions.

Webber claimed that Hamilton's driving, which consisted of a lot of heavy braking in huge amounts of spray, contributed to Sebastian Vettel ramming into him and ending his race (see separate story).

And, during the build-up to the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, a race in which Hamilton could become the first rookie world champion and the youngest in Formula One history, it emerged that he could have more of a fight on his hands than first thought.

The FIA confirmed that new evidence had emerged following the race and that it was being looked into by race stewards.

The FIA confirmed that new evidence had emerged, which was later found to be in the form of a video of the Webber/Vettel incident posted on the youtube website by a fan who caught it on video camera from the grandstand.

Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost said that it was he who had tipped off the FIA about the video but that it was not meant to get Hamilton punished, merely to have Vettel absolved of the ten-place grid penalty at Shanghai he was given for 'causing an avoidable incident.'

Should Hamilton, who will appear in front of race stewards before the start of first practice at Shanghai, be found guilty of dangerous driving, he could, in the most extreme case, be disqualified from the race.

More likely however is that he will be given a ten-place grid drop for this weekend's race.
