It was certainly eventful. Kubica's crash was sickening. Did Alonso here brain fade at the first corner? He seems overly desperate.

One of the most exciting Grand Prix I've watched for a while (always seem to get good races in Montreal, just shows what a half decent track can do eh). Last time I was this excited in a race was watching Mika hunt down Schumacher Sr at Spa a few years back, and the French Grand Prix in 1999 where Frentzen won but the rain turned the race into a real dogfight with numerous pass attempts, spins etc at the hairpin.

There was a real scary moment with Kubica's crash, which had me thinking back to Imola '94, think it was the way his head was bobbing about on his neck when the monocoque was sliding sideways to its eventual resting place after the smash. Very fortunate that he didn't hit the stationary Toro Rosso parked at the RHS of the track, that might have been even worse. Really glad his injuries appear to be superficial - let's hope he's back soon.

Delighted for Lewis to take his first win, was cheering him on all the way through, a real class act. There's no doubt he's starting to get to Alonso, I think the attempted pass at Turn 1 was born of desperation, he was way too deep on the throttle and ended up lucky not to lose more places at the start. Alonso was unfortunate with the timing of his fuel stop and the accident, but being passed by Sato at the end of the race will have been a real eye opener - car surely was damaged after so many offs. If not - then you've really got to question Alonso's concentration... I know it was only 1 world championship point, but that might make the difference...

Roll on Indy - I will be glued to the screen.
