Rare chance to buy a piece of F1 history

Rare chance to buy a piece of F1 history.
Tue 23 Jan, 12:29 PM

Grand prix fans are being offered a golden opportunity to grab a piece of Formula One nostalgia now that a piece of bodywork from one of last Jordans to compete in the top flight has gone on public sale.

The sidepod of the EJ10 - as raced by Jarno Trulli and Heinz-Harald Frentzen during the 2000 season - is being advertised on auction website eBay, with a starting price of £154.99. It was purchased by Mick Wright Merchandising, a company that specialises in buying redundant stock from motorsport teams and retailing it again at 60 or 70 per cent less than the original price.

"The last time we put bodywork on the site it attracted nearly 4000 hits," commented Mick Wright. "That is a huge amount considering we normally average around 100 for each of the 600 average items shown."

Mick Wright Merchandising also sells motorsport memorabilia at grands prix around the world and other events including the Le Mans 24 Hours and Goodwood Festival of Speed.

To view the sidepod or make a bid, go to: eBay.co.uk: Side Pod Formula One 1 Jordan EJ10 F1 Racecar Bodywork (item 110081928755 end time 30-Jan-07 18:54:52 GMT). The sale will end on 30 January.

Sorry, but JT and HHF are more in the underwhelming category of F1 drivers IMO. If you wanna see some great collectibles, go here:

very kewl. btw, can't wait to see how well DC does this year now that he and Adrian Newey are reunited at RBR. If Mark Webber doesn't get on it, he's going to find himself w/ no wins and past his "sell by" date.

I have worked with both of them at one time or another. Mark is very capable of giving David a run for his money, especially in qualifying.
