F-1 Hockenheim, podium for Raikkonen

A third place and a podium for Raikkonen/Mercedes-McLaren, even with a botched pit stop. Ferrari with Schumacher and Massa in first and second in a dominating performance. Not a very exciting race.

Didn't they had a problem with wheel nut before ? Why is it always have to strike again ?
What i am trying to say - if you expirience a problem - find a root cause and fix it.

Too little or too much pressure? Maybe the latter. At least Raikkonen got on the podium, not like his horrible luck in the last several Hockenheim races. It may sound strange, but it seems that some drivers are just luckier than others. Cheerio, Teutone

Quote':The FIA reportedly informed Renault that the controversial 'mass damper' system can be refitted to its car without fear of retrospective penalty at an upcoming appeal hearing. It could be closer again next week at the Hungaro Ring. As dominating as Ferrari was, IMO Raikkonen did an exceptional job to bring his McLaren home in third place, with blistering tires and hydraulic/gearbox problems. Next week should be interesting. Damper, schmamper. The lack of the damper may have kept Renault off the podium, but Bridgestone has a significant technological advantage over Michelin at present. That won't change by next week. Ferrari had 15 to 20 seconds on the entire field, and everyone with Bridgestone rubber was suddenly much more competitive as of about 3 races ago.

Reports of Schumacher's concession for this year's title have been greatly exaggerated. Should be a very exciting finish.

I am well aware ot that. They were this far ahead while cruising. But every time I mention Ferrari or heaven forbid Schuhmacher, I am being assaulted from all sides by the "We hate Schumacher" brigade. Without him, this would be a boring season. Cheerio

People may not like him but his record does the talking. The most commitment and hard work have given him his titles. Which other F1 driver LIVES above the factory during the F1 season?

This is one of the best seasons in years. Now that McLaren, Renault, Ferrari are all much closer this championship really is anyones. If Schumacher can win this from here it will be one his best. Bring it on!

Andrew.

The guy is in unbelievable shape. I always have to smile when at the interview he still looks fresh, while much younger drivers are dripping sweat. Teutone (aka Horst K)
