I am the Southeast Director for the GTS Challenge.
It is a series that runs in the National Auto Sports Association (NASA) The series races BMW's, Porsche's, Audi's, Mercedes', and VW's. Currently, I'm one of the few people racing a Mercedes. (190E 16 valve) Please let me know if anyone is interested in joining. It's full racing, rollbar, etc, but boy is it worth it. www.gtschallenge.com

RE: German Touring Sportscar Challenge
i see u use AMSOIL....excellent, u know whats the best.....i catch hell on the w123 forum, for reccommending it.........i have "all" the products in my CDT, she's smooth as silk, and screams like hell when i want her to....
Straight power to weight ratio to get classed in GTS.
Visit www.gtschallenge.com for the specifics. Of course you will also need the basic car setup for racing such as a rollbar, harnesses, battery cut off switch, etc. www.nasaproracing.com will have more info on that.
It is similar to SCCA without all the BS.
Hope it helps.

WOW!! sweet.....thats alot of miles for a RACING Engine.........that "re-affirms" my belief that i will roll back zero's, at one million miles, on my original valves and cams.......om617t u see.......
At 265K after a 2 hour endurance race, she finally gave up. Didn't blow up, just lost all compression. I had to rebuild her but she's back on the track purring again.

I'm gradually growing into the sport and would love to be able to compete in this sort of series. At this point I do periodic track days, noncompetitively. As my kids grow up, and I get more time, I could see myself going in this direction. And maybe in a few years my 2002 C32 will be just tattered enough to justify turning it into a weekend racer! I assume that with a C32 I would carry about 900lbs of ballast.
Come join in.
Just start with HPDE and you don't have to go full rollcage, etc. right away.
No ballast needed! We have 6 classes including an unlimited one.
