RE: U.S. Grand Prix
Attending a F-1 race is definitely an unique experience. No large screen TV with whatever sound system can match that. When I was around 10 yrs. old, I attended my first F-1 race at the old Nuerburgring and am still hooked 40 years later. Before the advent of the internet, when I lived in W. Africa and later the Middle East, not even shortwave radio would cover races. I used to spend twice their cost on air mail to get the magazines covering F-1. Now we can follow live timing on our computers. One of the few things I miss about not being in Europe, is to be able to travel and attend races. Zeltweg in Austria, Zolder in Belgium and Estoril in Portugal all used to host their Countries Grand Prix. My old buddy Herman lives 500 yards from the racetrack in Zandvoort, where the Dutch GP used to be held. But the King of them all is still the old Nuerburgring.
