I watch F1 whenever I can! If it's on the Speed Channel, I watch it like a hawk....even if it's just the qualifying at 1am Eastern Standard Time. Been watching for a few years now and love it compared to NASCAR, CHAMP (anything american..cept ALMS). Though at the start of this season..even till this day the new pitting and engine rules throw me off. No tire change during fueling? Same engine for at least 2 races in a row? None the less, F1 is simply amazing. Although ALMS and WRC are my other fav races on the tele.

1984 280SE.... on the road!

Hey, guys! I came across an absolutely fantastic animated 3D Formula 1 screensaver. It's so realistic that I couldn't believe my eyes! They got a free version too. Check it out: http://www.astrogemini.com/formula.html

No, i'm actually talking about F1, it used to be a way of lifefor me (I lived "the F1 way"), but back in the day ferrari just owned everyone else so there was no point in watching. Nowdays the competetive edge is coming back, but you all seem too young to remember real racing drivers like Giles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux.

These new racers are too concerned with they hair styles then they are about racing,... Though alonso and raikonnen are showing some promise.

Having a few friends who are on the "inside" of F1 has helped me into the pits at a number of circuits throughout europe,... and would you believe it,... most of the chief mechanics are millionaires. There is so much money to be made in F1 it's unreal.

See I can't stand the "Redneck circle jerk" that is NASCAR. What's the point?

But... Open wheel racing cars with as much technological development as a small fighter jet, duking it out around tight corners and 270KmPH straights; sign me UP!

But now i do have to draw a round of boos and admit that I have been a Ferrari fan for 10 years, after meeting Schumi and learning how great a guy he is OUTSIDE of the sport.

I watch F1 in the monday morning newspaper. I rather do something less boring on a sunday afternoon, like staying in bed [;)]
