How reliable will the Mp4-20 be in the 2005 season?

I think this car will be good enough to keep Ferrari at bay for the first few races. We will have to see what happens after Ferrari comes out with their new car. The Mp4-20 should be a dynamic car and bring Merecedes back to Glory.

after the strong finish last season, i hope they can carry on this strong being to the 2005 season. The car looks pretty small also, in some way, it seems smaller than the R25, TF105 and the C24

Well, it's survived the first 4 days of driver testing, which is a good sign. [:D][:D][:D]

Kimi Raikkonen was the first driver to experience the new McLaren Mercedes MP4-20 this week in Barcelona. The Finn drove the new McLaren from Monday to Wednesday and today is finally Juan Pablo Montoya's turn to sample the MP4-20.

Despite very cold temperatures, the Colombian managed to complete a few laps, including one longer run.

"Since seeing the MP4-20 for the first time on Monday I have been looking forward to getting my hands on it, so it was great to get behind the wheel today although our running has been affected by the cold weather. I completed the installation lap shortly after 9am, and the conditions were very slippery, as the track temperature was between -2 and 0 degrees. After waiting for a couple of hours to allow the circuit to get warmer, we have now just completed a longer timed run."

"I have been able to start to learn about the handling and feel of the car, which so far is positive, and I can't wait to put more miles on it later today and during tomorrow's session."

Juan Montoya is not supposed to say publicly but it has slipped out that he feels the McLaren has better mid-range torque, better brakes, and staightline speed than the BMW. McLaren put a ton of development into the new 05' spec car. We shall see this Sunday in Australia. I would love to see them at least lead in the constructors points this season..
