It looks like you're getting one hell of a lift on the front end there.
Any more power and he'll need wheelie bars[:D][:D]

RE: MB for Drag Racing

She was bone stock. All 2 and 1/2 tons of her.
I threw a Nitros kit on and nothing else. I was in the 13's but couldn't get the little 14" tires to quit spinning. If I threw off some weight and put on some drag slicks she would have been in the 11's.
What was great was that these other guys were all serious with these special built cars they towed there. I dragged them with my air conditioning on and the stereo blasting. I could see them cussing..

Slicks can turn some Amazing times... I have seen 13-12 second cars easily drop into the tens with big sticky tires on them, and the more power you have, the bigger the benifit you'll reap from good rubber.

cellis805:
damn, u must have one helluva shot of nitrous. my car is only 3200lbs and with the 215hp oem motor and a 100 nos shot i only got mid 14z.

I can't imagine that car weighs 5K. maybe that's gross vehicle weight?? So what motor and nos shot r u runnin??

I tried slicks on my truck, only shaved about 1/2 a second off of it. very dissapointing.... [V]

RE: MB for Drag Racing

Did you have enough weight in the back for the slicks to matter?
