Impressive roof strength of GLK

Roof strength evaluations: Midsize luxury SUVs

Don't see any car with a better result than the GLK, not even an E class. The E class coupe was impressive too, considering it's missing the B pillar!

In reality, the newer vehicles (like the GLK) are likely to be stronger in roof section.

having been in two accidents in the TSX sedan, i can tell you, they really do their job. they held up amazing well for what the accidents were. one was me getting tboned by a bmw. crumpled the entire passenger side(im talkin both fenders, and both doors, done 13K worth of damage). and the other was my fault, i hit behind the back right tire of another car, essentially tboning the rear, and took the bumper clean off. my car was beat up, but i still drove it about 40 min to the body shop the next day. you can ask Stak and a few others who've been in TSX's that got totalled. they walked away from the accidents. the car will take the majority of the impact on itself, its amazing what these babies can do
